A New Volkswagen Caddy for SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine

2021-04-02

Porsche Ukraine and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, has transferred a new Volkswagen Caddy to the charitable organization "SOS Children's Villages Ukraine".

Porsche Ukraine has been supporting SOS Children's Villages Ukraine for as long as 6 years and contributing to the important mission - to enable deprived children to live in families.

The new car will be used for transportation of social workers and psychologists of the organization who attend the families requiring appropriate care and pay regular visits to the families participating in the Children's Villages Ukraine's programs, and for everyday affairs of the organization's employees - supply of food packages and transportation of children to schools and kindergartens.

Denyu Bostandzhiev, Director of Porsche Ukraine LLC, has mentioned: "Social responsibility is of utmost importance for our company. We are a subsidiary company of the Austrian holding and, while having business in Ukraine, believe that we have to 'return' a portion of our income to society by helping socially vulnerable people. The car is not a one-time help to SOS Children's Villages Ukraine. We have been friends for as long as 6 years, and we are proud to belong to the large family of the charitable organization. Over these years we have implemented a lot of projects - training of youth in a driving school, establishing a gym on the premises of the Children's Village in Brovary, a new snow-removal tractor, and other initiatives".

SOS Children's Villages Ukraine started its activities in 2003 and works to prevent children from becoming orphans in Ukraine, develop a family-like upbringing for children deprived of parental care and support the young persons who are released from care.

The organization is a member of the international federation "SOS Children's Villages International" (SOS Kinderdorf) and works under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
